Share your best and worst trade of October

October has been a wild month for trading. September CPI came in at 3.7%, PPI hit 6.3% year over year, and chip stocks fell seven straight days. SOXL’s NAV dropped 13.56% in a single session on Oct 14 (Direxion). Then the rotation trade showed up on Oct 15: Nike +5.2%, Home Depot +4.3%, and the median S&P 500 stock up about 1.5%.

Somebody nailed that. Somebody got run over. Let’s hear both sides.

    Template (copy and fill in):

    • Best trade: ticker, entry/exit (or % gain), and why it worked
    • Worst trade: ticker, % loss, and what went wrong
    • Lesson: one thing you’ll do differently in November

Screenshots are welcome. Please blur account numbers. No shaming, because everyone here has a worst trade. If you want more inspiration, check Your Most Expensive Lesson.

What was your best and worst trade of October, and what did it teach you?
