SpaceX seeks $40B to buy Nvidia chips. Dalio: AI is a “classic bubble” nearing its burst. Samsung’s record Q3 lands Thursday — but margins may have peaked. Reuters reports Samsung is expected to post operating profit of 106.1T won (~$79.1B), up nearly nine-fold year over year — a fourth straight record quarter — on the AI memory boom. But analyst estimates have been cut 7.7% since August as memory price gains moderate; the shortage is expected to run into 2028. (Reuters)
Lisa Su in Seoul: memory is “supply-constrained,” Samsung foundry talks continue. AMD’s CEO told reporters she is “working with our customers to optimise their memory footprint,” met SK Hynix and will meet Samsung, and urged memory makers to “build faster, as fast as possible.” AMD continues to explore a foundry partnership with Samsung. Micron’s Taiwan union authorizes a strike. The Taoyuan union — 1,994 members, 99% in favor — secured strike authorization over bonus terms, demanding a permanent profit-sharing mechanism (15% of operating profit).
